Refugee children have often experienced trauma, violence, and instability in their lives. By working with them, you have the chance to provide stability, care, and support, as well as positively impact their lives and demonstrate their worth
Refugee children have often faced adversity and difficult situations. By working with them, you can support their development of resilience, which can help them to overcome future challenges.
By working with refugee children, you can help to create a sense of community and belonging for them, which can have a positive impact on their mental health and overall well-being.
Working with refugee children allows opportunities for you to share in reinforcing the refugee child's identity as a member of his/her cultural group. Observing children's pleased responses as they feel proud of their heritage will give occasions to learn more about the strengths and wisdom of diverse cultures and the importance of that work with refugee children and the wider community.
